NLS Welding & Contracting Inc. employs skilled and knowledgeable CWB certified welders and pipefitters that follow CSA standards W47.1 and W59, pertaining to all structural projects. All pressure piping welding conforms to codes ASME B31.1, B31.3 (Code), and CSA Z 662 (Code); and utilize SMAW and GTAW processes and procedures registered with the Technical Safety Authority of Saskatchewan (TSASK). NLS also maintains a boiler branch registered QA/QC manual in Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia, and maintains approved weld procedures in ASME and CSA. With our office and main shop boasting 10,000 square feet of space, an additional enclosed fabrication shop offering 12,000 square feet, and 5 acres of secure fenced modular construction yard, NLS can house all your structural steel and piping fabrication needs. Material handling is also made easier with the two overhead in-shop cranes we have at our disposal.

NLS utilizes five portable welding machines, four shop machines, and four positioners to accommodate an array of welding jobs.

Working with pipe of varying degrees in size, NLS can produce numerous products from carbon steel, stainless steel, Inconel, pipe, and other metals to accommodate our clients process piping needs; including petro-chemical, utility, and sanitary grades.   

Accuracy and quality assurance is always our goal. All of our shop fabrication goes through a rigorous series of tests to ensure dimensional accuracy, completeness, weld quality, and adherence to design and project specification by way of visual inspection, x-ray (RT), mag particle (MP), ultrasonic testing (UT), dye-penetrant checks (LPI), and point-to-point checks to ensure accuracy. All finished product also undergoes hydrostatic testing as specified by the client and NLS completes field measurements to confirm all drawing accuracies.
